Beyond the Training Event: What Actually Sustains Learning
Monday, June 29, 2026
1:00 PM ET (12:00 PM CT, 11:00 AM MT and 10:00 AM PT)
Great training is only the beginning. The real challenge is sustaining learning once participants return to the realities of the workplace. While many organizations invest heavily in training design and delivery, learning often fades quickly without the reinforcement, leadership support, and operational alignment needed to sustain behavior change over time.
This round table will explore what actually helps learning stick after the training event. We will discuss the organizational, leadership, and reinforcement strategies that support long-term capability development, including the role of managers, second-line leaders, coaching, accountability, practice, and learning integration into day-to-day work.
The discussion will also examine why organizations often struggle to sustain learning despite strong content and facilitation, and how leading organizations are shifting from isolated training events toward more integrated learning and leadership capability systems.
Participants will share current approaches, practical challenges, lessons learned, and ideas for sustaining learning in ways that lead to more consistent execution and long-term performance improvement.
